A herbal R&D unit has been established at Vadodara, Gujarat, about 400 km. from Mumbai, for various experiments
on herbal product development. There, a team of 14 well-qualified scientists work on various research projects.

A new Herbal Research and Development sub-unit was established at the MJ Institute of Research campus in
Vadodara in August 2001. The aim is to develop new therapeutical preparations, phytochemicals and 
phytonutrients using the best Indian traditional knowledge sources amalgamated with modern scientific methods.
